The Home Hatchery Project

Experience the wonder of hatching baby chicks at home! Our chicken hatching experience includes a rental incubator, 12 fertile eggs, and an easy guide to help children observe, learn, and record the 21 day hatching process. Once the chicks hatch, you can keep them, rehome them, or return them to Country Critters.​
Chicken Tender Project
$350
​This unique 3 week course gives kids the chance of a lifetime! Farmers don't just raise animals and grow crops, they use tools for building cages to keep them safe! It begins with the harvesting of chicken eggs. Kids write their names on the eggs and place them into the incubator. Twice a week the kids return to check the progress of their eggs and work on their VERY OWN chicken coop. They will learn how to use a tape measure, drill in screws and staple hardwire mesh to complete a chicken coop. Their final class will land on the same day their chicks hatch allowing them to take home their masterpiece and babies. The purchase is for one coop up to 4 kids working on it.
